Zadar

Zadar is the cultural, economic and administrative centre of the region. The city is 3000 years old and for centuries it was the capital of Dalmatia.

The city is very rich with world known cultural monuments which can be seen throughout the entire city. To this day the ancient street plans on the peninsula have been preserved.

The symbol of the city is the pre-romanesque church of St. Donat dating back to the 9th century.

In Zadar you will also find on the sea promenade the one and only sea organs that produce certain sounds (sea music) from the waves.
